Confession Time:
My career path wasn’t easy.
As a woman of color and first-generation college graduate, I often had to face my struggles alone. I didn't have anyone to show me the ropes and challenge my mindset and enhance my understanding of the "unspoken rules.”
After many mistakes and pitfalls, I was able to forge my own path.
I can only imagine how different my path would have been if only I had

Fun facts you might not know about me
I enjoy music and often associate milestones and memories in life with songs. I sing at the top of my lungs in the car and at home while cleaning. I’m definitely that person you pull up beside who’s performing a concert in their car.
I keep all my old notebooks and journals in case I need to reference them. I have a storage bin with over 30 notebooks and journals. I just started getting rid of the ones from over 5 years ago that are work related.
I’m a natural nurturer. It's so satisfying to watch colleagues and clients succeed and ascend as leaders when they secure that promotion, land that new job, ace a presentation, negotiate an offer, navigate difficult conversations.
My major was Law & American Civilization because I thought I would be an attorney in college. I went on to work on Capitol Hill where laws are made. I learned early on how to deal in politics, so “Office Politics” has nothing on me.
My daughter, Sydney is my greatest accomplishment. She makes me proud everyday and I’m blessed I was chosen to be her mother. Come catch us being silly on Instagram! She’s already a leader!
